Tonight at the prime time news Cypriot national broadcaster announced the 8 song titles which will compete in the national final on September 29 bidding to represent the country in the 5th Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will take place on December 8 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. 25 songs were heard by the preliminary jury and eight of them selected.

05. I mousiki dinei ftera (Music gives wings)

08. Chrisa Ftera (Golden wings)
Cyprus is also the host country for the 6th Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will take place in December 2008.
